ON TODAY'S MENU: Welcome to Perifractic's #ThinkDifferentChallenge. I love restoring vintage computers, but when I bought just an empty Apple //e case, and a Raspberry Pi, I wanted to help this computer emulate what it once was. This is a rudimentary proof of concept that others can improve upon. If I did too much, like mounting everything properly, there'd be nothing left for others to add.
I was nominated by Chris aka Perifractic to do a video for the #ThinkDifferentChallenge and work on the "Apple PIIe" he made. As this is going to be a very international collaboration of... well, international YouTubers, I decided to put in an interational power supply. It remains to be seen if it works for the different voltages as advertised (I have high hopes).
In Part 3 of this collaborative video series, I attempt to add parallel printer port functionality to Perifractic's Apple PIIe, but I have to get the Raspberry Pi to actually work first...hmm.
