교도소 내 괴롭힘이 심해지며 점점 더 괴로운 상황으로 내몰리는 현수. 중한은 그런 현수를 돕기 위해 국민참여재판을 신청하고, 세간의 이목이 집중된 국화꽃 살인사건의 첫 공판이 시작된다.
Hyun-soo no longer has someone to rely on after claiming his innocence at the court. Eventually, Joong-han decides to step in to represent Hyun-soo when Soo-jin asks for his help. Meanwhile, Joong-han focuses on finding a potential murderer under the assumption that Hyun-soo is innocent. Hearings continue, but Hyun-soo slowly feels that his safety at the prison is in jeopardy.
