Koharun thinks she can tell a student's "character type" with no more than a glance until Hiina and the others teach her who the real "characters" at their school are. Later at the club, they deconstruct and reconstruct shogi, followed by a giant-size shogi game with a "twist" in the school gym.

学校にいる生徒たちのとある特徴に気づいたこはるんは、先輩たちに信じられないような事実を聞かされ衝撃を受ける。
放課後は部室で引き続き新たなるクラブ活動を4人で模索。
今回も先輩部員たちの想像を裏切る知識や発想に振り回されるこはるん。
体育館では将棋をベースにした新競技で2年生の高橋葵（あおい）と対戦、果たしてこはるんはあおいに勝てるのか！？
