Craft Beer in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. In Episode 1 of Taproom Travelers we visit Lazy Monk Brewing. Lazy Monk is a Craft Brewery built out of a desire to serve the midwest with quality biers made in the old world tradition of the Czech Republic and Germany. Although they specialize in Bohemian and German beer styles they do not shy away from ales meeting the needs of beer drinkers with a variety of palettes. Come visit their European style taproom and find out what happens when community and friends meet over amazing biers brewed in the old world tradition!
Craft Beer in Dallas, Wisconsin. In Episode 2 of Taproom Travelers we visit Valkyrie Brewery (formally Viking Brewery). It's a small, family-owned and operated microbrewery located in the Northwestern Wisconsin village of Dallas. Owners Anne and Randy brew dozens of styles of beer in small, handcrafted batches all with unique flavors, names, and backstories. If you only have the chance to stop once (which would be a shame) make sure it is during their Octoberfest celebration filled with beer, german culture, and probably the largest bratwurst you will ever see. Plus Anne and Randy have been known to shoot off their cannon during the festivities! This is a place where the beer is only rivaled by the owners welcoming and light-hearted personalities. Craft Beer in Hudson, Wisconsin. In Episode 3 of Taproom Travelers we visit American Sky Brewery. When you experience walking into American Sky’s Hangar for the first time you will really get a sense of the patriotism at the core of the business. Founders Greg and Molly Harris pay tribute to American soldiers past, present, and future as both of their grandfathers heroically served our country in WWII with Greg’s grandfather also serving in the Korean War. Opening the brewery was a good ol’ fashioned case of having an American dream. Greg and Molly’s dream of American Sky Brewing Co. was inspired by this American spirit, their grandparents, their countrymen, and the pure love and joy of brewing craft beer. Craft Beer in Hudson, Wisconsin. In Episode 4 of Taproom Travelers we visit Pitchfork Brewing Co. Pitchfork Brewing is co-owned by Mike and Jessie Fredricksen and Sarah and Jason Edwards. They have quickly gained a reputation for making outstanding craft beers with a focus on high quality, locally sourced ingredients along with an environmentally friendly business model. They keep a variety of beers on tap as well as specialty firkins to please even the pickiest of palettes. In addition to stopping by for a pint or two, grab a bite at Paddy Ryan’s Irish Pub right next door. These two business work so well together, you’ll never want to leave. But if you must, take home a growler for later.
Craft Beer on the Mississippi River. In Episode 5 of Taproom Travelers we visit Reads Landing Brewing Co in Reads Landing, MN. Reads Landing is a hidden gem located inside a historic, 2-story store front building right along the Mississippi River just north of Wabasha. With an unobstructed view of the river, you can gaze at the boats in the summer and eagles in the winter, all while enjoying lunch, dinner, an afternoon snack, and of course unique craft brews. Read’s Landing is known for their amazing food and variety of brews to pair with your meal. Their menu offers a select list of locally produced fish, poultry, and meats that are always prepared with flair. Their sweet potato tots and garlic butter fries are a must. Brewing handcrafted beer on-site, RLBC produces quality and unique craft brews that are available on tap and in growlers to go. Their Cap’n Amber Ale has become a local favorite, providing a hint of Cap’n Crunch flavor right at the end.
Craft Beer in La Crosse Wisconsin. In Episode 6 of Taproom Travelers we visit Pearl Street Brewery Co. Started with only a dream, a 1984 Eagle Wagon and a trailer packed with brewery equipment driven from Colorado, founder and brewmaster Joe Katchever settled in La Crosse, Wisconsin to build his brewery. He and his father started out small in a subterranean brewhouse, but word soon found its way to the surface and the tastebuds of the thirsty patrons. They have since ventured above ground and found themselves in the historic La Crosse Footwear Factory. They are a fun group of people with tasty beer and a cool building in a beautiful city. What’s not to like?

In our 2nd After Hours Special we follow the head brewer at Tin Whiskers, Derek Brown, on a behind the scenes look at his process for brewing some of the best craft brews that the twin cities has to offer. Located in St. Paul, MN. Tin Whiskers is a craft brewery founded by three electrical engineers that have found harmony in melding the art of brewing with tight process control. Craft Beer in the Twin Cities! In Episode 7 of Taproom Travelers we break into the Twin Cities craft beer scene to visit Tin Whiskers Brewing in St. Paul, MN. One day three electrical engineers, Jake Johnson, Jeff Moriarty, and George Kellerman, decided to quit their day jobs to open up a brewery. For that, we are forever grateful! They started out small with two brewing kits in Jake’s mom’s kitchen where they experimented with unique recipes and honed their craft. In 2011 the crew opened Tin Whiskers Brewing Co. in downtown St. Paul in a taproom only a mad electrical engineer could come up with. It comes complete with circuit board beer flights and a giant mural of a robot toasting you as you enter. With a scientific approach at the core of their business, be prepared for a well crafted drinking experience.

Craft Beer in Wisconsin! In Episode 8 of Taproom Travelers we head back home to visit Real Deal Beer by Raw Deal in Menomonie, WI. The Raw Deal is a Brewery, Coffee Shop and Organic Cafe located in downtown Menomonie. Head brewer Ryan Verdon is constantly pushing the limits and concocting new recipes that'll keep you coming back for more!
Craft Beer in the Twin Cities! In Episode 9 of Taproom Travelers we travel back to the Twin Cities to visit Boom Island Brewing in Minneapolis MN. When Kevin Welch, founder and head brewer, tasted his first Belgian tripel, it was a life-changing experience. He travelled to 13 breweries across Belgium, brewing side-by-side with the leading innovators in Belgian brewing. He then brought his knowledge home with a few yeast strains specific to the Belgian style. Kevin and the awesome team at Boom Island then started to craft Belgian Beer right here in the Midwest.
