Alex Tanner, now a filmmaker/journalist in her mid-30s, seeks funding for a film about running for the White House and the toll it takes on those who lose. Desperate, she turns to her father and his bitter former aide TJ for help.
Alex decides to take her film in a new direction, primarily east to the Democratic National Convention in Boston. Unfortunatly, her big problem now is where will she get the money.
Alex arrives in Boston for the Democratic National Convention and struggles to make herself known to national figures. Only politicians and media makers from Ron Reagan Jr. to Alex Kerry are not so thrilled to know her.
It's time for the grand premiere of of Alex's documentary, but she's afraid Jack will be offended by the final result.
