Durch seine Notwasserung erkennt Balu, dass Shir Khan ihn nur als Köder für die Piraten benutzt hat. Kit muss sein angeknackstes Selbstbewusstsein wieder aufbauen, damit Balu das Unmögliche versucht und die Seegans vom Wasser aus wieder in die Lüfte bringt.
Baloo is lost at sea while attempting The Master Run. Turns out Don Karnage has devised a plan that fools all pilots into thinking they are flying upside down, thus causing them to fly up (or down) into the ocean. When Karnage reads Baloo's 'Greatest Pilot in the World' trophy, he mocks and belittles him into depression. Kit tries to think of a way to get out of this mess, but Baloo is wallowing in self pity. When Kit finally gets everyone free, they are chased by the pirates. Kit makes a suggestion that will help them cripple the pirates planes, but all the other pilots say that Kit's plan won't work. Finally Baloo breaks free of his self loathing and stands up to the others telling them that Kit is the best navigator he ever had and if he says the plan will work, then the plan will work.
Балу удаётся выяснить причину исчезновения самолётов. Во всём виноваты гигантские зеркала, поставленные пиратами между скалами. Из-за них перевернулся и «Нырок». Кроме того, в грузе вместо картины оказывается радиопередатчик, по сигналу которого скоро на место прибудет эсминец Хана. Пираты сажают друзей в клетку к остальным пропавшим пилотам, а сами расставляют мины на пути эсминца. Кит, выбравшись через иллюминатор, освобождает пилотов. Балу после всего случившегося теряет веру в себя и считает себя неудачником. Но Кит всё равно верит в него, и Балу с новыми силами взлетает на перевёрнутом «Нырке». Сбросив свой кубок на мины, Балу предупреждает эсминец об опасности. Благодаря Киту, «Нырок» ловко пролетает между зеркалами, чего не удаётся сделать самолётам пиратов. Эсминец уничтожает зеркала и заставляет пиратов отступить. Вернувшись, Шер Хан щедро вознаграждает Балу и даёт по его просьбе новый кубок, на этот раз уже для Кита, как лучшему навигатору.
Efter att ha blivit förnedrad av Don Karnage förlorar Baloo sitt självförtroende, och det är upp till Kit att återuprätta hans självrespekt.
