The actor meets those who are keeping the region's rich industrial heritage alive. At Amble, he joins a community boat project aiming to revive traditional wooden boat-building skills, and takes part in a boat race at the harbour. He then heads to Allendale to spend a day working with the Dodd family on Britain's last horse-powered farm.
