Kirito und Asuna müssen zusammenarbeiten, um einen mysteriösen Mord in einer Safe-Zone aufzuklären. Leider haben sie nur eine Spur: Den Speer, der das Opfer tötete.

During a meeting between guilds and players on March 6, 2024 on the 56th floor, Asuna, who has now become Vice Commander of the Knights of Blood Oath guild, propose a plan to lure a boss they are fighting into a village but is opposed by Kirito, as the NPC villagers will be killed. A month later on the 59th floor, Kirito is taking a nap until Asuna arrives, criticizing him for being lazy but he convinces her to relax as well. To thank him for guarding her while she was asleep, Asuna decided to buy lunch for him at a town on the 57th floor. However, they discovered a player killed, hanging outside the church, impaled with a spear. As they both investigate, Kirito wonders how the player was killed in a safezone unless he was dueled by another player or someone has found an exploit to kill players. Yoruko, a girl who was a friend of the victim, Kains, saw someone behind Kains before he was hanged. Asuna and Kirito heads towards Egil's shop to help them find clues on the murder weapon, which Egil learns it's a custom made weapon by a player named Grimrock. Explaining what they discovered to Yoruko, she reveals how she and Kains are related to Grimrock. Six months ago, she, Kains and Grimrock were part of a eight-man guild called the Golden Apple lead by Griselda, Grimrock's ingame wife. One day the guild acquired a rare ring and voted whether to use it or sell it, with three members, Yoruko, Kains and Schmit, now a member of the Holy Dragon Alliance, voting to use it. Griselda went out to sell the ring but was killed. Yoruko believes the killer is targeting the three of them as he suspect they were involved in Griselda's death. After getting Schmit and explaining to him everything, Yoruko becomes paranoid, believing Griselda's ghost wants revenge against them. But Yoruko is killed after someone throws a dagger from outside.

Avril 2024. En tant que sous-chef de la plus puissante guilde de SAO, la Confrérie des Chevaliers, Asuna se tient à présent en première ligne, et a progressée jusqu'au 59e palier. C'est alors qu'un joueur du nom de Caynz perd la vie dans un village qui ne peut normalement pas être attaqué par les monstres (une intra-zone). Le hurlement d'un témoin retentit alors, Kirito et Asuna se précipitent sur le lieu pour enquêter, et réalisent que l'homme ne peut pas avoir été tué dans un duel. Craignant qu'il puisse s'agir d'une capacité inconnue de PK (Player Kill), Asuna fait équipe avec Kirito afin d'aller jusqu'au fond de l'affaire.

11 aprile 2024, Kirito ed altri hardcore player fanno fronte al 59 piano. Sotto supervisione e guida del sub-leader dei Knights of Blood, Asuna, essi pianificano una strategia per avere la meglio contro il boss del luogo. Asuna ha tenuto a mente il consiglio di Kirito di unirsi ad una gilda, facendo grandi progressi. Nonostante ciò, i due si trovano spesso in disaccordo, ma cominciano lentamente ad accantonare le loro divergenze, soprattutto a seguito di una collaborazione volta a far luce s'un misterioso assassinio avvenuto nella città di Marten. Tutti i giocatori sono consci che i player killer, per quanto rari, approfittino spesso dello stato di sonno delle loro vittime per eliminarle senza dover ricorrere ad un regolare duello, ma prima di allora i loro omicidi erano sempre stati consumati all'infuori delle mura. Il caso si complica scoprendo che la vittima in questione, Kains, è stata colta in uno stato di veglia, senza nessun decretato vincitore e, quindi, nessun duello aperto, neanche slealmente. Kirito e Asuna riescono tuttavia ad ottenere un indizio grazie all'aiuto di Egil, il quale, avvalendosi delle sue skill di venditore d'armi, può visualizzare il nome del possessore dell'arma con cui è stato consumato l'omicidio. Grazie alle informazioni ottenute da una conoscente diretta della vittima, Yoruko, i due realizzano che, con gran probabilità, si tratta di una vendetta personale. La ragazza e la vittima facevano infatti parte di un gilda ch'era entrata in possesso di un oggetto raro, e la maggioranza di essa aveva votato a favore della sua vendita. Tuttavia, uno dei loro membri ha assassinato il leader per impadronirsene, ed ora, desideroso di vendetta, un altro membro intende eliminare tutti coloro che si opposero alla vendita dell'oggetto nella votazione, ovvero i sospettati principali. Sarà mentre avvisano Schmit, una delle potenziali vittime, che Yoruko, anche lei parte degli oppositori alla vendita, perde la vita a causa di un attacco a distanza

2024年4月。アスナは《SAO》屈指のギルド≪血盟騎士団≫の副団長として最前線に立ち、攻略は第五十九層まで進んでいた。 そんな折、モンスターが侵入できない町の中《圏内》でカインズという名の男性プレイヤーが死亡した。 目撃者の悲鳴に駆けつけたキリトとアスナが現場を調べたところ、デュエルによる《ＰＫ(プレイヤーキル)》は不可能な状況だった。 未知の《ＰＫ》技があるのではと危惧したアスナは、キリトとともに事件の調査に乗り出す。

썩 사이가 좋지 않은 키리토와 아스나는 우연한 계기로 저녁을 함께하게 된다. 그런데 갑자기 바깥에서 한 여자의 찢어지는 비명이 들려오는데...마을 광장에 있는 교회 벽에 한 플레이어가 가슴에 창이 꽂힌 채 매달려 있었다.

В этом эпизоде мы вновь встречаем Асуну — после битвы с боссом первого уровня девушка не теряла времени даром и стала суб-лидером одной из сильнейших Гильдий переднего края — «Рыцарей Крови». 6 марта 2024 года Асуна руководит совещанием по тактике сражения с очередным боссом, на котором присутствуют представители Гильдий переднего края — «Альянса Священного Дракона», «Фуринкадзан», лидером которого является Кляйн, а также игроки-одиночки, такие как Кирито. Спустя месяц, 11 апреля 2024 года Асуна и Кирито, которого Асуна застала спокойно спящим на солнечной лужайке, становятся свидетелями невозможного события — убийства в безопасной зоне (в пределах городских стен), где не появляются мобы, а игроки могут причинить друг другу вред, только предварительно вызвав на дуэль при помощи системного меню. Однако игрок, повешенный на стене церкви с мечом в груди (при полном отсутствии сообщения о выигранной дуэли), наглядно продемонстрировал, что это правило можно нарушить. Ёруко, знакомая убитого по имени Кайнс, рассказывает, что видела кого-то в окне, прежде чем Кайнс был выброшен на верёв

2024年4月，亞絲娜以「SAO」內首屈一指的「血盟騎士團」副團長的身份在最前線出現，預備指揮攻略組向第五十九層進發。同一時間，在沒有怪物可以入侵城鎮的「圈內」裡，一個名叫凱因茲的男性坃家死在眾人眼前。 因為聽到目擊證人叫聲而來到事發現場的桐人與亞絲娜，認為這不是一般決鬥而出現的PK狀況。亞絲娜因為恐防可能是有未知的PK技能，所以找桐人一起調查這宗殺人案件。
