In 2003, guitarist Oren Ambarchi curated a unique series of television documentaries for SBS TV in Australia. SUBSONICS was made on a budget of $1000 per episode, edited in iMovie, and traced an arc from the classical avant-garde of the '50s through experiments with analogue electronic sounds in the '60s, representatives of New Improvisation to today's laptop generation.
