The Polish scholar Tomasz has come to Ullevål Hageby to collect money from his unknown father. He gets a new job opportunity assembling a kitchen but lacks a ruler. In Ullevål Hageby get family Rotevatn know that his son Sveinung bullied at school. They decide that the family will finally get a dog.
