Jack Parker steht, als Inhaber einer Modefirma getarnt, unter dem Schutz des FBI. Das aber hindert den alten Ganoven nicht daran, weiterhin Raubüberfälle zu begehen. Mit Hilfe seiner Angestellten Melinda wollen Starsky und Hutch ihm das Handwerk legen.

Hutch takes the guise of a bumbling swimwear buyer and Starsky poses as an eccentric photographer, as the Detective duo enter the fashion world to stitch up a garment-business racketeering ring. But as they look into the case, they receive an unusual offer of help from a woman eager to get in on the action - unfortunately, she only serves to compromise the undercover investigation...

qu'il surveille un magasin dans lequel travaille une de ses amies. Melinda Rogers, un policier nommé Harold surprend deux individus qui tentent de dérober des fourrures. Au moment de tirer sur les malfaiteurs, il s'aperçoit que son arme a été déchargée. Appelé à enquêter sur l'affaire, Hutch se fait alors passer auprès de Jack, le patron de Melinda, pour un riche propriétaire de grands magasins...
