The Game

Hutch ermittelt undercover: Als heruntergekommener Säufer will er einer Verbrechergang auf die Spur kommen. Starsky wird unterdessen angeschossen. Auch Hutch gerät in Schwierigkeiten, denn während der Ermittlungen erkrankt er schwer.

When they blow the capture of a wanted felon, Starsky and Hutch each blame the other, and lay down a bet to see whether or not Hutch can successfully elude Starsky for a whole weekend. But the exercise in hide-and-seek becomes more than just a game when Starsky realises that Hutch has unknowingly eaten contaminated soup, and could die from the potentially lethal botulism poisoning. It's a race against time as Starsky struggles to locate Hutch to warn him, but Hutch, unawares to the poisoning, assumes it's all part of Starsky's attempts to draw him out, and dons a number of disguises in order to stay one step ahead...

Starsky et Hutch sont sur le point d'arrêter Ray Pardee, un escroc, mais leur voiture cale alors qu'ils sont à deux doigts de lui mettre la main dessus. Déçus, ils se consolent autour d'une bière, et envisagent de faire un jeu de cache-cache pendant le week-end, au cours duquel Hutch va tenter de disparaître... Malheureusement, Starsky apprend entre-temps que Hutch a mangé de la soupe avariée, contaminée par des bacilles du botulisme. S'il ne le retrouve pas rapidement, son coéquipier risque de succomber...

Miután a nyomozópáros hagy kicsúszni a kezéből egy körözött bűnözőt, Hutch fogadást ajánl, hogy elrejtőzik és Starsky 48 óra alatt nem fog tudni a nyomára akadni. A fogadás tétje csakhamar élet és halál lesz, amikor kiderül, hogy Hutch fertőzött leveskonzervet evett, és ha nem kerül időben kórházba, az elkapott betegségbe bele is halhat.
