Joseph Cotten was born on 15th May 1905 in Petersburg, Viriginia. He was one of the most popular male actors of the 1940s and also known for his friendship with Orson Welles. Cotton appeared in such classics as 'Citizen Kane' (1941), Alfred Hitchcock's 'Shadow of a Doubt' (1943), 'Gaslight' (1944), 'The Third Man' (1949), and 'Niagara' (1953) with Marilyn Monroe.
