Al Pacino

Al Pacino has had a career spanning more than five decades, during which time he has received an Academy Award, two Tony's, two Emmy's, a BAFTA and 4 Golden Globe Awards. A method actor he was taught by Lee Strasberg, Pacino made an impact in The Panic in Needle Park (1971). International acclaim followed as Michael Corleone in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather (1972) receiving his first Oscar nomination. Serpico (1973), Dog Day Afternoon (1975) and ...And Justice for All (1979) followed. In 1993 he won his only Oscar for Scent of a Woman (1992). Other notable films include Scarface (1983), Carlito's Way (1993), Heat (1995), Donnie Brasco (1997), and Insomnia (2002).
