New Orleans, Louisiana. In April 2008, 21-year-old Japanese student Kanako Ohyama is a serious young woman with a desire to explore. She loves the US and plans to spend her Spring Break in the party city of New Orleans, writing in her journal and photographing local people and places. But four days after her arrival, Kanako's found dead in a wooded area strangled with a belt. With no friends or long-term acquaintances in New Orleans to rely upon, police turn to clues left-behind by Kanako herself-her journal and camera -to find the person responsible.
