Tommy Butler's home is to be demolished and he is moving in with his daughter. On the first day, he fights with his son in law, and his daughter won't let him do anything to help around the house. He decides to go live with his pal Wally. While he is waiting for the bus, he meets Colin, a young tearaway who asks a lot of questions about his stuffed parrot.
