Der Traum zum Mars zu fliegen ist doch was wundervolles. Und ebenso die Art und Weise wie die Wissenschaftler in diesem Anime versuchen, sich diesen Traum zu nähern. Verbunden mit einen merkwürdigen Zeppelin, einer eifersüchtigen Frau und einer Chinesin, die Opfer eines Experiments wird. Zum Schluss klappt die Reise zum Mars doch. Oder ist das ganze nur ein Traum?
Miss China, a young Chinese girl, runs a restaurant in England. Dr Breckenridge and Jim are boarders that live upstairs. Unfortunately, Miss China has a problem with getting the rent from them because they spend all their money on wild inventions. The latest one allows people to travel to the moon. No one believes them, so they devise a way to prove it.

芝娜(CHINA)是一位中国姑娘，自己开了一家中国餐馆“天回”，而她的男友吉姆则是位科学家，跟在布兰克瑞奇博士身边从事研究工作，布兰克瑞奇也是芝娜的房客。庫巴、科頓、薛帕德等三人从小就组织了一个“少年科學俱乐部”，探究火星的秘密一直是他们长年的梦想。庫巴的女儿温蒂的老公杰克，自从航海回来后便加入了于少年科学俱乐部，整天和三位老科学家沈迷于宇宙飞船的研究，梦想着要登陆火星探险。某日，以“以太气流理论”为动力基础的宇宙飞船突然成功发动了，温蒂在毫无心理准备的情况下，就这样跟着杰克等一行人踏上火星冒险的旅程。宇宙飞船安全抵达火星的表面，库巴、科顿、薛帕德这三个老顽童50年来的梦想终于实现了，于是个个争先恐后抢着下船，不但在火星地表留下了历史性的脚印，更试图进一步寻找火星人的踪迹……这次，布兰克瑞奇制作了一具“空间反射望远镜”，说是能将火星的影像投射在海上，并创造出一个一模一样的双重空间，这样人们不必太空旅行就能看到火星上的一切了。芝娜和花店老板娘莉莉兴致勃勃地参与了这项实验，但由于一开始焦距不对，影像变得十分模糊，原想藉此发财的莉莉于是失望地离开了，唯独芝娜仍不死心，要求吉姆将影像放大，谁知道却因此意外地看到火星上的运河与火星人。然而诡异的是，芝娜所看到的火星人竟是一副中国人的打扮，而且还住在中国城里…
En algún momento del siglo XIX, una joven asiática afincada en una ciudad costera es la propietaria de la pensión y restaurante Tenkai. Pero "Miss China", como la conocen en el lugar, no está exenta de problemas. Tiene alojado en la pensión a un científico loco llamado, Breckenridge, que siempre se atrasa en el pago del alquiler. Además a ella le gusta Jim, el guapo aprendiz de relojero, que ella cree que va tras la florista local.
Pero este no es un mundo normal, es un mundo maravilloso donde a menudo suceden cosas increíbles. El científico loco acaba de realizar un fantástico invento, y Jim tiene un plan inimaginable para conseguir regalarle a Miss China el más bello anillo del mundo.
