Sommer is a drama about a family and its generations, focusing on what happens when the balance of power in the family suddenly change. It is a story about parents and children - about the joys and sorrows - and about unity and disunity within and across generations. Summer is all about the idealistic young doctor Jacob Sommer who returns home on a short visit when fate suddenly comes into play. Jacob's father, Christian, is so ill that he can not take care of the family practice and that change everything for the whole family Sommer.
