Betty is ill in hospital and Frank intends visiting her. He stops off at the greengrocer's to buy her some fruit. After much confusion with money, the shop assistant gives Frank the fruit free of charge in order to get rid of him, although he manages to cause an avalanche of oranges before he finally leaves the shop.
Returning home, Frank finds the back door is stuck and has to climb in through the window. Magically, the back door finally opens and hits Frank's head, as he is crouching by the side of it! Frank then cooks his dinner - pudding. Even Frank gets this wrong and makes it explode, bringing down most of the kitchen shelves with it.
At the hospital, Frank manages to spill some fruit squash on Betty's bedspread. He tries to swap this with another one in the same ward, but is mistaken by a doctor as the uncaring husband of another woman patient who has not been visited for many weeks. The doctor gives Frank a stern talking to and crossly tells him to take ""his"" wife home and care
Betty està malalta a l'hospital i Frank intenta visitar-la. S'atura al fruiter per comprar-li una mica de fruita. Després de molta confusió amb els diners, l'ajudant lliura a Frank el fruit sense cap cost per desfer-se d'ell, tot i que aconsegueix provocar una allau de taronges abans de sortir de la botiga. Tornant a casa, Frank troba que la porta del darrere està enganxada i ha de pujar per la finestra. Màgicament, la porta de darrere finalment s'obre i colpeja el cap de Frank, ja que està agafant-se al costat d'ell. Frank llavors cuina el sopar - el pudding. Fins i tot Frank es fa malament i fa que exploti, reduint la major part dels prestatges de la cuina amb ell. A l'hospital, Frank aconsegueix vessar una carbassa de fruites a la coberta de Betty. Tracta d'intercanviar això amb un altre al mateix barri, però un metge és confós com el marit incondicional d'una altra dona pacient que no ha estat visitada durant moltes setmanes. El metge li demana a Frank que faci una xerrada i que li digui cruel que li agafi la seva esposa a casa i la cura
Betty ligt in het ziekenhuis en Frank gaat haar bezoeken. Onderweg koopt hij fruit bij de groenteboer, waar hij een chaos veroorzaakt en uiteindelijk de spullen gratis krijgt. Thuis raakt hij opgesloten en krijgt een deur tegen zijn hoofd. Tijdens het koken laat hij pudding ontploffen. In het ziekenhuis morsen hij per ongeluk drankjes en wordt door een dokter aangezien voor de onverschillige echtgenoot van een andere patiënte.
