Lea Hoffmann, Doktorandin an der Kepler-Universität, wird nach einer illegalen Party gewaltsam vom Dach der Uni gestoßen. Joe und Ben finden heraus, dass Lea ein Verhältnis mit Prof. Tanja Gabriel hatte, die dem Institut für künstliche Intelligenz vorsteht. Reibereien hingegen gab es mit Leas angeblich bester Freundin Julia Jahic, privat und im Studium. Vor allem nämlich weil Lea an einem revolutionären ‚Gehirn-Chip' gearbeitet hat, mit dem sich verschiedene Krankheiten positiv beeinflussen lassen. Unterdessen muss Joe, die schon die ganze Zeit über ein gesundheitliches Problem verdrängt, ins Krankenhaus gebracht werden, während Ben und Nele nun auf sich allein gestellt sind.

Lea Hoffmann, a doctoral student at Kepler University, is forcibly pushed off the roof of the university after an illegal party. Joe and Ben find out that Lea had an affair with Prof. Tanja Gabriel, who heads the Institute for Artificial Intelligence. On the other hand, there was friction with Lea's alleged best friend Julia Jahic, privately and in her studies. Especially because Lea has been working on a revolutionary 'brain chip' that can be used to positively influence various diseases. Meanwhile, Joe, who has been suppressing a health problem all along, has to be taken to the hospital, while Ben and Nele are now on their own.
