The priest believes that the safety of the Castle depends on the statue of Saint Mary of the Whitening River, which must be fetched from behind the enemy lines. The mission is trusted to Tanush and Frrok, who bring in the wrong statue. Pilo, unknowing of the siege, meets his old pal from the empire army days, Josuf.
