Es sieht ganz so aus, als hätten Jerry und George allen Grund zum Feiern: Der Fernsehsender NBC gibt endlich grünes Licht für ihre Serie "Jerry". Die Reise verläuft dann leider etwas anders als geplant – und auf die vier Freunde wartet eine Überraschung.
Jerry and George discuss the movies and George's desire to get his fifteen minutes of fame. Kramer is off to the beach. Elaine calls a friend, whose father is in the hospital, with her cell phone; Jerry and George tell her that is a social faux pas. Jerry gets a message from NBC that they want to talk about the pilot. So Jerry and George go to meet with the new vice president of programming, who is interested in turning their pilot into a 13 episode series. Jerry and George begin to make plans to move to California.

Poiché dovranno trasferirsi stabilmente in California decidono di organizzare un'ultima gita con Elaine e Kramer, sfruttando il jet personale della compagnia tv per andare a Parigi. Ma durante il viaggio l'aereo perde il controllo...

Jerry e George recebem uma grande notícia, a NBC resolve finalmente gravar o show “Jerry”. Na reunião o diretor da rede decide transformar o piloto numa série com 13 episódios e ver se agrada o público. Os pais de Jerry e George mal podem acreditar. Numa gentileza o diretor da NBC oferece aos dois um jato particular para que possam ir à Los Angeles e gravar a tão falada série sobre o nada. Numa reunião no café Elaine, Kramer, George e Jerry resolvem tirar umas férias e ir para Paris. Mas as coisas não saem como esperado e o jato sofre uma pane. Mesmo com todo o susto os quatro sarcásticos amigos não mudam. Com um pouso forçado em Massachusetts eles presenciam um assalto e filmam tudo. Com o humor negro característico ainda zombam da vítima. Um policial se aproxima e resolve prendê-los com base em uma nova lei chamada “O Bom Samaritano”.
Jerry, George, Elaine i Kramer uhićeni su zbog kršenja zakona o „dobrom Samaritancu” te završe na suđenju na kojem se pojavljuju likovi iz prošlosti serije.
