For this Scientific Tuesday we will show you... How to make or build your own rockets and launch them in your backyard. This is very simple just take an empty bottle, some rubbing alcohol and a lighter. After you vaporize the rubbing alcohol just light the end of the bottle and it will ignite into a fantastic showing of flammable bliss!
In this episode of scientific Tuesdays, we will show you how to create a homemade smoke bomb using a ping pong ball. All you need are the simple household items: Scissors, Tin Foil, Lighter and of course, ping pong balls.
Candle wax is an amazing substance and if it falls into the hands of evil doers it can wreak havoc upon society. In this episode of scientific tuesdays, well demonstrate why.
By taking Milk, food coloring and some dish soap, you can make your milk actually exciting again! Follow the steps in the video closely and you will be up and running in no time at all!
In this episode of Scientific Tuesdays, We will show you a very cool experiment using magnets, needles and some tape! Take some string and measure out the perfect distance to the magnet and then tape it off to a wall. You want to get the needle to float in mid-air using only the magnetic field as the force holding it up.
In this episode of Scientific Tuesdays, we demonstrate how to create colored flames using cheap and easily accessible items.
Just a suggestion, but I think you should try heating up the dent with the hair dryer in one hand, and the canned air in your other hand, ready already, and right when you are finished heating it up, swipe the dryer out and quickly spray the dent with the air.
How does the Gauss Gun work? When the steel ball is pulled towards the magnet it creates an impulse of energy at the speed of sound. This energy carries through to the other side and expels the weakest link the magnetic chain at a high speed.
The big question is: How does this work? The electrical current is traveling through battery, into the screw and wire in a normal fashion. But when then current hits the magnet, the electrical current is pulled out in a radial fashion instead of going straight through. Because the magnet has the ability to move. It spins as the current travels through it.
Supercooling water will let you keep water in it's liquid form below 32 degrees F / 0 Degrees C. The only way to pull it off is to use very, very pure water. I suggest distilled water or purified water than has been filtered via reverse osmosis. This will make sure you removed all of the impurities and minerals from the water and keep it from freezing over prematurely.
In this episode we boil down some cabbage and use it as a pH indicator. We can look at Acids and Bases with the extract we pull from the cabbage. Watch and learn some nifty tricks with baking soda, washing soda, vinegar and even lye.
Build a nifty and versatile USB Powered torch out of household trash.
Make glass invisible...at least, almost invisible! Get your baby oil out and get started!
