Samuel introduces Adrian to birding on the wild coast of west Cornwall, starting at Hayle Estuary, where Adrian gets to grips with egrets, wigeon and curlews, before going in search of lost American birds.
On the north Norfolk coast, Samuel and Adrian set off on a 'wild goose chase' that leads them through pine forests, across sweeping beaches and onto the marshes to see pink-footed geese, avocets and more.
Samuel takes Adrian to the Somerset Levels in search of a bittern, Britain's loudest - and possibly most mysterious - bird. Along the way they see cattle egrets, great crested grebes and a starling murmuration.
