*Sale of the Century* is a UK quiz show based on the US version. It originally aired on ITV from 1971 to 1983, hosted by Nicholas Parsons, with occasional celebrity editions from 1981 hosted by Steve Jones. The show began regionally in Anglia before expanding nationwide by 1975, becoming highly popular and known for its ironic “from Norwich” introduction. It was later revived twice: on Sky Channel (1989–1991) with Peter Marshall, and on Challenge TV (1997–1998) with Keith Chegwin.
