The series consists of twelve heats featuring eight robots each. In a departure from Series 5, the first rounds of each heat consist of two four-way melees, similar to the eliminators of Series 4, with two robots from each melee progressing to the second round, consisting of one-on-one battles. The two second-round winners will face each other in the Heat Final, the winner of which will progress to the Semi-Finals.
