    Episode 1 of Robot Wars Revealed was originally aired on BBC Choice on 6th November 1998. It presented behind-the-scenes footage of Heat A of Robot Wars: The Second Wars, including interviews as well as video diaries of the Piece de Resistance, Caliban and Panda Monium teams preparing their robots for the main competition. This episode also featured an interview with House Roboteer Colin Tilley where he briefly detailed the then newly-introduced Sir Killalot.

The episode featuring Heat C was originally broadcast on November 20, 1998 on BBC Two. The broadcast managed to attract 5.95 million viewers, an increase of one hundred and fifty thousand viewers when compared with the previous episode. This meant it set a new Robot Wars ratings record. According to BARB, this meant it ranked third in the top thirty highest rated BBC 2 broadcasts during 16-22 November, behind only The Simpsons and Have I Got News For You.

It also became the first episode to beat The Simpsons in the ratings, finishing only behind Gimme Gimme Gimme.

The broadcast made three Robot Wars ratings records; firstly, it managed to attract 6.13 million viewers, making it the first to not only top six million viewers, but also managed to beat the previous record holder, Heat C, by 180,000 viewers. According to BARB, the episode also became the first to top the thirty highest rated weekly programmes on BBC 2, during 1-7 February.

    Semi-Final 1 of Robot Wars: The Second Wars was the first of two Semi-Finals to determine which two of six heat winners would proceed to the Grand Final of Robot Wars: The Second Wars. As usual, a Gauntlet would eliminate one robot, while the Trial (Pinball) would eliminate another. The remaining robots would pair off and fight to determine which two robots moved on to the Grand Final. The episode featuring Semi-Final 1 was originally broadcast on February 19, 1999 on BBC Two. It managed to attract 6.01 million viewers, an increase of 290,000 viewers when compared with the previous episode. According to BARB, it fell to second in the top thirty highest rated BBC 2 broadcasts during 15-21 February, behind Red Dwarf.

    Grand Final of Robot Wars: The Second Wars was the final set of battles which determined the Grand Champion of Robot Wars: The Second Wars. It was fought between the four robots that had progressed through their heats and the Semi-Finals. There were two Grand Final Eliminators to decide which robots would make the Grand Final, followed by a playoff for third and fourth. Finally, the Grand Champion would be determined in the Grand Final. The episode featuring the Grand Final was originally broadcast on March 5, 1999 on BBC Two. The broadcast set a new Robot Wars ratings record of 6.94 million viewers, an increase of 730,000 viewers when compared with the previous record holder. According to BARB, this meant it ranked in first the top thirty highest rated BBC 2 broadcasts during 1-7 March, beating Red Dwarf by 20,000 viewers.
