Unterwasserforscher Angelo Guirilini steht kurz vor einer neuen Expedition. Aus diesem Grund gibt er an Bord seines Schiffes eine Party, zu der auch die "Drei von der Riptide" eingeladen sind. Das Fest wird jäh gestört, als sich Angelos Sohn Tony schwer verletzt in den Saal schleppt. Er war bei einem Tauchgang beschossen worden. Das "Riptide-Trio" beschließt, die Expedition mitzumachen. Bei einem Tauchgang finden sie Giftmüllfässer der Firma Betrox - die die Expedition bezahlt.

With Tony in hospital, they investigate and discover that someone is worried that Angelo's latest expedition will stumble on a batch of illegally dumped toxic waste...
