While hiding in the building,he falls into a shaft that is part of the polar bear exhibit.As Skip tends to the boyfriend who is shot, Wes repels into the polar bear exhibit to subdue the estranged husband.
While off duty, Wes and Skip wait alongside an airport runway for Wes' friend Riley Jackson who is arriving in a plane he is piloting. When Riley is making his final approach to the airport, he successfully avoids a mid air collision with another plane but then crashes his plane in a valley outside of the airport.
