Sydney und Nigel reisen auf Einladung von Professor Lemenza nach Spanien, um die seit dem Einmarsch Napoleons verschwundenen Kronjuwelen Karl IV. zu suchen. Sydney will mit Hilfe eines Spektrometers eine geheime Botschaft über den Verbleib der Juwelen entschlüsseln. Doch als beide dort ankommen, müssen sie feststellen, dass der Professor mit Sydneys Armbrust ermordet worden ist und dass zwei unbekannte Doppelgänger ebenfalls Jagd nach dem Kronschatz machen.
Event: ROYAL PALACE, MADRID 1808
Nigel is making time with a beautiful young student, Lorraine, with an interest in relic hunting in the office when Sydney is hit over the head by a thief, who steals her wallet and crossbow. The duo heads to Madrid to track down the crown jewels of Charles IV, only to find that the professor they were going to meet with is dead...killed with Sydney's crossbow. Framed as criminals, they quickly discover they were impersonated by Lorraine (actually Rayna) and Raoul. The latter killed the professor without Rayna's knowledge, and are now on the track of the crown jewels. After ducking the police, Sydney and Nigel catch up with Rayna and Raoul. Raoul takes Nigel hostage to lead him to the jewels and leaves Rayna and Sydney behind, handcuffed together. They manage to free themselves and stop Raoul as he grabs the jewels. Rayna is apparently tempted to join back up with him, but knocks him over the head and turns herself in.
Nigel et Sydney partent en Espagne à la recherche des joyaux de la Couronne. Mais le professeur avec qui ils avaient rendez-vous est mort et l'arme du crime n'est autre que l'arbalète de Sydney...

Nigel trascorre il suo tempo con una affascinante studentessa, mentre Sydney subisce un'aggressione da parte di un ladro, il quale riesce a sottrarle il portafogli e la piccola balestra. I due cacciatori si recano poi a Madrid alla ricerca dei gioielli della corona di Carlo IV e scoprono che il ricercatore che dovevano incontrare è morto, ucciso con la balestra di Sydney. I due scoprono di essere vittime di uno scambio di persona. La ragazza di Nigel, Lorraine, si è spacciata per Sydney, mentre in realtà si chiama Rayna ed il suo ragazzo, Raul, ha impersonato Nigel. Raul ha ucciso il professore, senza che Rayna lo sappia, ed ora i due sono sulle tracce dei gioielli della corona. Nigel e Sydney inseguono la coppia di malfattori. Raul prende Nigel in ostaggio, e così Rayna e Sydney si ritrovano costrette a collaborare.

Mientras Nigel pasa el tiempo en la oficina en compañía de Lorraine, una joven muy interesada en la búsqueda de reliquias, Sydney es atracada por unos ladrones que le roban la cartera y su ballesta. Los dos se dirigen a Madrid para seguir la pista de la corona del rey Carlos IV. Cuando llegan al lugar, el profesor con el que iban a reunirse ha sido asesinado con la ballesta de Sydney. Sin embargo, la joven y Nigel descubren que Lorraine y Raoul se han hecho pasar por ellos
