Ahinoam tells Saul that Kayla will have the evening meal with them that day. Abner calls Saul to talk about what happened at the entrance to the city. The two then begin to decide what next steps the Israeli soldiers will take. Abner and Saul go out and talk about the excuse they gave Ahinoam to spend the night away from home.
