When recipe columnist Maria competes to write an advice column, she responds to a letter from a woman with an abusive husband, but the woman soon turns up dead.
Maria and Jessie, and Khaya, the local detective, are all trying to solve Martine's murder. Prime suspects are Martine's husband and best friend. Without enough evidence, the police let them go.
