Megu is going through a test to become a full-fledged member of TERRA. Ayato is still depressed because he's a Mulian and everyone was keeping it from him. He's going around biting people's heads off, accusing them of laughing about him behind his back. Haruka is worried about telling Ayato some secret. The two of them talk. Haruka says that it doesn't matter that Ayato is a Mulian, but he doesn't listen. Sayoko breaks it off with Iishiki, saying that he was using her, but she was also using him. She gives him a dress as a token, because she no longer has anyone to wear it for. And Quon is about to be moved to her new home. Megu passes her test and she is going to meet someone to tell him about her feelings for him. But when she goes to meet him, she finds that Souichi is already in a relationship with Kim. She's upset at first, but Kim starts to cry, so Megu forgives her. Quon asks Ayato to take her to Tokyo and he agrees, flying off in the RahXephon.
Le docteur Kisaragi, Helena Bähbem et Makoto Isshiki se réunissent pour statuer sur le sort de Quon, "l'original" d'Ayato ; elle va retourner chez elle... Chez TERRA, Megumi passe le test qui fera d'elle ou pas une titulaire du personnel. A cette occasion, elle fait part à Kim de ses projets d'avouer ses sentiments à celui qu'elle aime si elle réussit son examen. Dans le bureau du commandant Kunugi, Ayato fait irruption pour accabler son entourage de lui avoir menti sur ses gènes. Watari, présent dans la pièce, lui parle de son fils dessinateur et de l'expression des sentiments à travers la musique ou la peinture. Quon arrive alors pour dire "au revoir".
恵はTERRA正式採用のため、ラーゼフォン逃走を想定したテストをしていた。自分の正体を知った綾人は亘理長官に食ってかかり、久遠はバーベム財団への移管を目前に周囲に別れを告げて回る。遙や恵、七森たちを含め、ニライカナイに住む人々の何かが確実に変わろうとしていた中、綾人は久遠から意外な依頼を受ける。
Megu está pasando por una prueba para convertirse en miembro de pleno derecho de TERRA. Ayato todavía está deprimido porque es un Mulian y todos se lo ocultan. Él anda mordiendo la cabeza a la gente, acusándolos de reírse de él a sus espaldas. Haruka está preocupada por contarle a Ayato algún secreto. Los dos hablan. Haruka dice que no importa que Ayato sea un Mulian, pero él no escucha. Sayoko rompe con Iishiki, diciendo que él la estaba usando, pero que ella también lo estaba usando a él. Ella le da un vestido como prenda, porque ya no tiene a nadie con quien ponérselo. Y Quon está a punto de mudarse a su nuevo hogar. Megu pasa su prueba y se va a encontrar con alguien para contarle lo que siente por él. Pero cuando va a encontrarse con él, descubre que Souichi ya tiene una relación con Kim.
