Sarah begins by reading Ms. Atoll's letters to her. Sarah comes across the letter where a man was writing about the passionate time they spent with her, but Atoll snatched the note away before Sarah could continue. The next letter that Sarah read was even worse: it seems as though the School Board never obtained any reference of Ms. Atoll graduating from High School. As a bribe to not tell others have the problem, Ms. Atoll agreed to do anything that Sarah wanted.
