Preciosa (English: Precious) is a Mexican telenovela produced by Pedro Damián for Televisa in 1998. Irán Castillo and Mauricio Islas starred as protagonists, while Nailea Norvind and Felicia Mercado starred as antagonists. Preciosa is a sweet and pretty girl of 18 who has a problem in one of her legs. Her life takes place in the strange and fascinating world of the circus she loves so much. His life is full of vivacity and tenderness, but also of dramas and lack. She lives poorly alongside her grandfather Tito, one of the clowns of the circus, also taking care of the animals, and silently supports the ridicule and humiliation of Sandor, the owner of the circus, a bad character man who laughs and mocks his biggest dream: to become a famous trapeze artist like her mother. Preciosa bravely faces all her problems. Sweet and generous, she shares the joys and sorrows of other people who inhabit the circus world, like Zamira, the beautiful, enigmatic and passionate gypsy who loves the evil Sandor; Felina, the beautiful trapeze artist who suffers the betrayals of her husband Patricio, also Ransel the dagger thrower. Preciosa being a young lady of a firm and delicate character, and hoping to raise money to finance her operation, she saves every penny of her wretched salary in the hope of one day realizing her dream: to climb on the trapeze. It is not easy, she must also deal with the manipulations of Eduarda, the aunt of Luis Fernando, and Enriqueta the mother of his worst enemy Valéria, who is his sister, a fact that Preciosa does not know, and also the intrigues of Lorena. Preciosa had discovered love and struggle together on the path of forbidden love and the fascinating circus world.
