When I woke up to see the news that Gord Downie had passed, it hit me like a bag of bricks. We all knew it was coming, but I don't think anybody was quite ready for it. Downie was a living soundtrack, an ode to Canadianism. His music holds a special place in my heart, and deeply affected my upbringing. I made this video as a way to remember him. "Stare in the morning shroud and then the day began I tilted your cloud, you tilted my hand Rain falls in real time and rain fell through the night No dress rehearsal, this is our life."
