Die Johto Liga Konferenz ist vorbei. Auf ihrem Weg nach Hause schauen unsere Freunde noch kurz in Vertania vorbei. Dort erfährt Misty, dass sie sofort nach Hause kommen soll, um auf die Arena ihrer Schwestern aufzupassen, die eine Weltreise machen wollen. Auch Rocko wird zu Hause erwartet, um einiges zu erledigen. Und so trennen sich die Wege unserer Freunde. Ash erhält zum Abschied ein Geschenk von jedem. In Alabastia angekommen, trifft Ash Gary, der schon wieder zu einer neuen Reise aufbricht und das mit nur einen Pokemon! Er will noch mal ganz von vorne anfangen. Garys Plan fasziniert Ash. Und so bricht er auch zu einer neuen Reise auf und nimmt nur Pikachu mit. Sein Ziel ist die Hoenn Region.
With the Johto League Silver Conference behind them, Ash, Brock and Misty head back to Viridian City to relax. Their vacation is cut short when Misty receives an urgent call beckoning her back to Cerulean City to run the gym while her sisters cruise the world. Brock, too, realizes that has things he has to do. After a teary goodbye, Ash returns home to Pallet Town – but soon grows restless for adventure. When his former rival Gary takes off on a new journey, leaving behind all of his Pokémon except Blastoise, Ash starts thinking about his next journey.
Ondine et Pierre partent chacun de leur côté, laissant Sacha tout seul. Sacha revient au Bourg-Palette pour finalement décider de reprendre son aventure.
Una vez acabada la Liga Johto y de regreso a Pueblo Paleta, Misty recibe una llamada de sus hermanas que le dicen que la necesitan en el Gimnasio Celeste, así que Ash, Misty y Brock deben despedirse.
Lasciandosi alle spalle la Conferenza Argento della Lega di Johto, Ash, Brock e Misty ritornano a Smeraldopoli per concedersi un po' di riposo.
Com sua aventura na Liga Johto terminada, Ash decide voltar para a Cidade de Pallet. Mas não demora nem um pouco antes dele dizer adeus a Brock e Misty para partir sozinho em uma nova aventura!
