Sie sucht nach Erleuchtung. Madeleine bietet unseren Freunden und Team Rocket an, in ihrem Tempel zu studieren, um auch Erleuchtung zu erlangen. Doch das Training zeigt sich schwieriger als gedacht. Jessie, James und Mauzi nehmen nur aus einem einzigen Grund teil. Sie wollen die riesige Flegmon-Statue aus purem Gold, die mitten im Tempel steht, stehlen. Als sie versuchen, sich mit der Statue aus dem Staub zu machen, hält Madeleine sie mit ihrem weiterentwickelten Lahmus zurück. Die Freunde erfahren viel über Sinn und Zweck der Erleuchtung. Und durch ihren gegenseitigen Respekt und ihr Vertrauen haben sie schon eine Stufe der Erleuchtung erreicht.
Ash, Misty and Brock stop by a lake where they meet with Team Rocket. As they're about to battle each other, a Slowpoke with a flag comes and sits on a rock fishing. This lady comes and says the Slowpoke is looking for "enlightment". She offers everyone to take to Slowpoke Temple to learn this. There's a giant gold statue of a Slowpoke. They go through tests, such as having to concentrate so hard they won't move or else they'll be hit by sticks(!). The next is cleaning the temple, which Ash and Team Rocket compete in. Jesse and James go off to steal the statue, and Meowth distracts Ash by fishing with him. The same Slowpoke is fishing much better than Ash and friends, because the pokemon know they won't be captured. The gold statue is stolen by Jesse and James, but Slowpoke evolves into Slowbro and defeats them. Ash and friends head off, while Team Rocket stay at the temple, this time to truthfully learn enlightment.
Alors que Sasha allait disputer un match contre la Team Rocket, un Ramoloss arrive et se place en plein centre, mettant sa queue dans l'eau. Par la suite, Madeleine arrive. Apprenant que Régis a suivi la formation au combat, Sasha veut en faire autant. La Team Rocket en fait autant, mais seulement pour mettre leur plan en route, qui est de voler la statue d'or de Ramoloss. Finalement, le Ramoloss du départ évolue en Flagadoss et mets la Team Rocket K.O.

Mentre i nostri eroi sono in viaggio per raggiungere il luogo in cui Ash potrà conquistare la sua ottava e ultima Medaglia, inaspettatamente cadono vittima di una trappola tesa dal Team Rocket.
