BALLOON CREATURES What you need: Balloons (variety of shapes) balloon pump black marker sticky tape. What to do: Blow some air into a balloon and make it into an animal. Blow the balloon up by mouth or use a common balloon pump. The shape of the balloon can help you decide what animal to make. You can draw a face or stick things on the balloon to make a face. If you use sticky tape, be careful attaching objects so you don’t burst the balloon. A long thin sausage balloon can be turned into a fish by putting both ends of the balloon together and twisting one end around the other; creating the fish tail. You can put your face in the hollow and then the fish fins turn into rabbit ears. If you hold the balloon vertical, the fish shape now becomes a rocket. What types of balloon animals can you make? 2.
