In "Pickwick, del leggere e dello scrivere", andato in onda su Rai3 nel 1994 in 10 puntate, lo scrittore Alessandro Baricco, affiancato dalla giornalista Giovanna Zucconi, raccontava con rara capacità affabulatoria i grandi romanzi moderni, da "Il Giovane Holden" di Salinger a "Il Vecchio e il mare" di Hemingway, dai "Versi satanici" di Rushdie a "Madame Bovary" di Flaubert. Il programma era arricchito da interviste a scrittori e saggisti quali Claudio Magris, Dacia Maraini, Emilio Tadini e Gianni Vattimo.
