“พลอยน้ำเพชร” เป็นเรื่องราวของ นงนุช (จอย ศิริลักษณ์) แม่ค้าปากตลาด ฐานะยากจน ที่กำลังหลังชนฝา เพราะ สมเดช (พล-พลพล พลกองเส็ง) สามีป่วยหนัก เธอจึงทำทุกทางเพื่อหาเงินมารักษา รวมถึงการรับจ้าง “อุ้มบุญเถื่อน” ให้กับน้ำเพชร (หน่อย บุษกร) หญิงวัยกลางคน ที่อยากมีลูกแต่มีไม่ได้ แต่โชคชะตากลับพลิกผันทำให้ แม่-ลูก ต้องพลัดพรากกันในที่สุด!! ทำให้ พลอย (เบลล์ นิภาดา) เด็กสาวที่เกิดจากการอุ้มบุญต้องเติบโตมาในสลัมกับนงนุช
