Ok - time for something a bit different as an end of year special We've talked a lot on this channel about how to get military procurement right - but to close the year out, I thought it would be fun to flip the script and have a go at coming up with ways to deliberately get it wrong. CONGRATULATIONS - You are in charge of military procurement for the fictional state of Emutopia in 1946. Your official job is to buy the best aircraft possible for the air force in order to prepare for an invasion of the neighbouring state of Kiwiland. Unofficially, you are a Kiwi sympathiser, and your task is to deploy every trick you know to make sure Emutopia buys awful kit - while not giving anyone reason to suspect that you're sandbagging the force on purpose. The challenge is simple, and owes a lot to the old concept of the fictional state of Elbonia and its storied history of military procurement that many of you would be familiar from past forgotten weapons content. So here's what's going to
