The Case of the Fugitive Nurse

Auf dem Weg nach Salt Lake City stürzt das Privatflugzeug des angesehenen Arztes Dr. Morris ab. Er wird für tot erklärt. Die Sache hat einen Haken: Dr. Morris war gar nicht an Bord! Er hat seine Frau getäuscht und ist mit seiner Geliebten auf dem Weg nach Mexiko. Das Flugzeug hat sein Freund David Kirby geflogen. Wie sich herausstellt, war dem Getränk in der Thermosflasche des Piloten ein Betäubungsmittel beigemischt worden. Die Ehefrau von Morris gerät unter Mordverdacht.

Janet Norris is charged with poisoning her doctor husband just before he flew to his death in his private plane. Further investigation reveals that Dr. Norris did not die in the plane crash and that he is in Mexico with his nurse mistress. The man killed in the plane was actually one Dave Kirby. This means that Janet still has to stand trial for murder.
