Pearl

In her first TV role since "Cheers"' tart-tongued barmaid Carla, Rhea Perlman plays Pearl Caraldo, a longshoreman's widow who enrolls in a prestigious university, where she'll teach her prickly professor (Malcolm McDowell, Our Friends in the North) a thing or two about life.
