데이트를 소재로 한 프로그램으로, 프로그램명은 손뼉을 치면서 크게 웃는다는 뜻의 사자성어인 '박장대소'에서 따 왔지만, 이름만 살짝 비틀었을 뿐 해당 사자성어와는 관련이 없다. 참고로 이 장도연&박나래 콤비는 수년 전 마이 리틀 텔레비전에서도 '박.장.쇼'라는 컨셉으로 방송을 진행한 적이 있었을 뿐만 아니라 여러모로 절친한 사이로 유명하다. 그것도 그렇고 이것도 그렇고 박나래와 장도연의 제각기 성들에서 한 글자씩을 따서 이름을 지은 듯.
