In this episode, we follow paramedics in Inverness, Oban, Edinburgh and the Borders. Special operations paramedics Dan and Leigh are called to assist bomb disposal experts after a hazardous chemical is found at a building site, before taking to the water in the Bordersto search for a body in the river. Lee and Nadine race to the scene of a three-car smash on icy roads, and paramedics in Oban make two trips to visit a regular patient whose breathing is getting progressively worse. Moira and Dee battle through busy city centre traffic in Edinburgh to reach a patient who has fallen from their wheelchair and needs a special piece of kit to get them into the ambulance. And in Inverness, Stuart and Jamie are called to a patient with chest pains who is unsure about going into hospital.
