This is going to be a rough day for newly published author Audrey- not only does she have to do press for a novel she was tricked into writing, she also gets the terrible news that her estranged father, the owner of an independent wrestling company, has died in the ring while trying to salvage a trainwreck of an event.
Audrey attends her father's funeral. Amidst the chaos of surprise guests she has to decide whether to write the sequel to her monetarily successful young adult novel 'FrankenFine', or to manage her father's wrestling company, "Ring of Champions."
After taking control of the Ring of Champions, Audrey is focused on changing and modernizing the world of wrestling- but she swings the pendulum a little too far with her ideas and alienates her star wrestlers, who all go on strike.
Audrey's star wrestler Sexton Knox has gone missing with their referee Ron. Audrey frantically tries to find a fix, but is stymied by bad press from a fanatic blogger. Meanwhile, Sexton and Ron find themselves going through forced sobriety while locked in a storage closet with only energy drinks and their demons to sustain them.
It's Audrey's first crack at the helm running her new show- clean living Sexton has returned, but turns out he's struck by "ring terror" when not intoxicated. Ron has a new confident attitude that could upset the whole dynamic. Olympia is prepared to debut his new persona, and with the Network watching closely, Audrey struggles to keep it together when Blake Lazers tries to sabotage her.
