比起孤軍作戰，身邊有位好拍檔，事情可望變得更好。方力申、黃翠如組成主持拍檔，邀請星級藝員、廚師組成多對廚房拍檔，上演廚藝比賽！節目追蹤藝員的練習情況，從走進專業廚房學煮比拼菜式，不斷接受試煉，到了解該道菜應有的技巧與精髓。藝員再踏入錄影廠和廚師拍檔合作煮出包括前菜、主菜的耍家菜式，甚或主題套餐。此外，藝員將獲得獨當一面的機會，傾力於五分鐘內完成簡單速煮菜。而廚師亦會獨立主理一道令人驚喜的招牌菜！
