小さな悩みを抱えた若者が、夜な夜な暖簾をくぐる食堂『おっちゃんキッチン』。寡黙な店主が手際よく仕上げる「今夜のおまかせ」が人気の店だ。 客はその「おまかせ」を無心にほおばりながら、お酒も入り愚痴をこぼし始める。しかし店主は簡単な相槌しか返さない。……いや、返せない。なぜなら店主は、若者とのちょうどいい距離感が分からないのだ。ところが日々若者たちの愚痴を聞いているうちに、案外その答えが見つかるもの。店主は日々密かに「"おっちゃん"をアップデート」しているのだった。 世代のかけ離れたおっちゃんと若者とのほっこりしたコミュニケーション、そして簡単でおいしいレシピをお届けする番組『おっちゃんキッチン』。
