يعمل العميد رشدي إبراهيم على مطاردة رئيس أكبر عصابات تهريب الذهب وهو مجرم شديد الذكاء يُعرف بالبرادعي، والذي يمتلك المهارة في التغلب على الشرطة وعلى العميد رشدي بمنتهى الذكاء بل ويتصل بالعميد رشدى تليفونيًا لتحديه، وتستمر المطاردة بينهما وسط أحداث درامية غير عادية.
